SSL configuration
An SSL certificate is a digital certificate that authenticates a website’s identity and enables an encrypted connection between the server and the user’s browser. It is essential for securing sensitive data like passwords or privileged, financial, and personal information. You can get an SSL certificate through a Certificate Authority (CA) approved vendor. CA is a trusted organization that issues digital certificates.
If a SSL certificate is not available on installation, you can create a self-signed certificate then replace it after you purchase a CA approved SSL certificate.
During the installation of C•CURE IQ, to apply security to your online communication, configure the server-side certificate (SSL) and the C•CURE IQ configuration files.
When a web browser contacts your secured site, the SSL certificate allows the encrypted connection after checks have occurred.
