Creating a group

  1. In the navigation menu, click Configuration.
  2. In the Configuration menu, expand the Content Management menu, and then click Groups.
  3. On the Groups page, click Add New.
  4. In the Create Group editor, configure the following settings:
    1. In the Name field, enter a name for the group.
    2. Optional: In the Description field, enter a description for the group.
    3. To assign the object to a different partition, in the Partition list, select an option.
    4. To assign the group type, type a search query into the Group Type field, and the select the object type.
    5. To configure the group to support expiring clearances, in the Group Rule field, select Support Expiring Clearances.
  5. Click Save.
    After you save the group, the Add Objects button appears.
  6. To add objects to the group, click Add Objects.
  7. In the Add Object window, select the check box for each object that you want to add to the group, and then click Ok.
    After you add objects to the group, the Group Actions button becomes accessible. From the Group Actions button, you can select actions to perform on objects in the group. For example, you can lock or unlock doors in a door group.
