Unified Journal Log Volume Manager

You can use the Unified Journal Log Volume Manager to select and then back up specific volumes in the Activity Journal Logs. You can back up individual or multiple volumes in a session. You can back up a journal volume currently in use if it is the journal, but it is not a complete backup, as records are constantly added. You can only back up in-use journal volumes, not in-use audit volumes.

When you run the backup, the system records the date and time of the backup. An entry is also created in the Journal whenever one of the volumes is backed up.

If your system is Unified, the Unified Journal Volume Manager also combines the journals from the separate C•CURE 9000 and victor databases to one database.
