Creating a map

  1. In the Navigation menu, click Configuration.
  2. In the Configuration menu, expand Data Views, and then click Maps.
  3. On the Maps page, click Add New.
  4. To add a map image to the map, click Select Image.
  5. In the Settings area, and configure the following options:
    • In the Name field, enter a name for the map.
    • In the Description field, enter a description for the map.
    • To invert a map’s colors when you use the C•CURE IQ dark theme, select the Invert map colors in a dark theme check box.
    • If your system is partitioned, in the Partition list, select a partition to assign the layout to.
  6. To add objects to the map, in the Select Object area, complete the following steps:
    1. In the Object Type list, select the type of object that you want to add to the map.
      After you select the object type, a list of objects appears.
    2. Drag objects from the list onto the map.
    3. To configure alert settings for the object, right-click the object icon, and then click Configure Alert Settings.
  7. Use the drawing tools to add lines or shapes to the map.
  8. To add a field of view to a camera object, right-click the camera icon, and then select Add Field of View.
    After you add a field of view, use the view icons to adjust the size and angle of the field of view.
  9. Click Save.
