Use Case: Alarm Reduction where the Risk Score is adjusted down for a lower priority.

This section describes the scenario in Alarm type: Alarm reduction, where the Risk Score is adjusted down for a lower priority.

Scenario 1: A Single door (say Door_BLR1) has two unique events: one is Doors Forced and another is Doors Held, both with an Event Priority set as Medium High (125).
  1. Create a Rule with Rule type as Door Event with Schedule and specify Door as the Rule Filtering option and Door Held as the State field under Alarm Type: Alarm Reduction.
  2. For instance, name the Rule as Door Only-Door Event with Schedule – DHO.
  3. Set the Risk Score Action to reduce to 25 and select the Door_BLR1 which has two unique events.
Scenario 2: Establish a Door Group and include two Doors (say Door_BLR1 and Door_BLR3). Introduce an event for Doors Forced with an Event Priority set as Very High (175), assigned specifically to Door_BLR3.
  1. Create a Rule with Rule type as Door Event with Frequency and Time interval and specify Door Forced as the State field under Alarm Type: Alarm Reduction.
  2. For instance, name the Rule as DFO-Multiple Door Force.
  3. In the Rule Filtering section, select for Door Group and choose the created Door Group containing Door_BLR1 and Door_BLR3.
  4. Set the Risk Score Action to reduce to 25.

Conclusion: Upon the occurrence of the Door Held Open action on Door_BLR1, Rule created for Door Event with Schedule for Door Held should be activated that is Door Only-Door Event with Schedule – DHO.

When the user acknowledge the DHO event then the score should be lowered by 25, resulting in a decrease from 125 to 100.

Note:
  • When the operator action is configured as Acknowledge, then it is acknowledged. However, Clear should be done manually.

If the operator action is configured as Auto Acknowledge and Clear, then it will be done through the Rules.

  • Risk score will be adjusted based on the value set in the Action tab of the Rules. Refer section Rules for more information.

Refer the below figure to see how the Risk Score is adjusted based on the configured Rules.
