System variables for the apC Driver

System variables for the apC Driver lists system variables used to define various settings for the apC Drivers.

Note: If an apC Driver variable requires a driver restart for changes to take effect, or if the system variable setting cannot be changed while the apC driver is running, that is documented in its description in the System Variables list.
Table 1. System variables for the apC Driver
System Variable Name Description Value Type Default Value

Maximum Issue Code

Maximum issue code supported by apC panels.

  • If the issue code in a credential record that you import or edit is too large for the current value of this variable, the credential is not downloaded to the apC panels.

  • Changing the value of this variable affects new credential records being downloaded only. The system does not validate existing credential records against the new changed value.

The value must be between 0 and 255.

Numeric

7

Maximum Clearances per Person on an apC

Maximum number of clearances for each person that can be downloaded to an apC panel. You cannot change this value if the apC driver is running. You must stop the driver, make the change, and then restart the driver.

The value must be between 1 and 80.

Numeric

20

Maximum Number of apC Clearances

Maximum number of clearances that can be downloaded to an apC panel. You can set this value higher than 256, but it might decrease the number of cards that the panel can store.

The value must be between 256 and 32767.

Numeric

256

Is Using Activation Dates

The activation date in the credential record is downloaded to the apC panel.

If True, the activation date is downloaded to the panel.

If False, the activation date is not downloaded to the panel.

Setting this variable to True decreases the number of cards that the panel can store.

This value cannot be changed if the apC driver is running.

Boolean

True

Is Using Deactivation Dates

The expiration date in the credential record is downloaded to the apC panel.

If True, the expiration date is downloaded to the panel.

If False, the expiration date is not downloaded to the panel.

Setting this variable to True decreases the number of cards that the panel can store.

You cannot change this value if the apC driver is running.

Note: You must stop the apC driver, change the system variable, and restart the apC driver for changes to take effect.

Boolean

True

Minutes between Sending Date and Time

Amount of time in minutes, that must pass before date and time is re-sent to re-synchronize the server and apC times.

The value must be between 1 and 1000.

Note: You must stop and restart the apC driver to have any changes you make to this variable take effect.

Numeric

60

Number of apC Simultaneous Personnel Downloads

Number of apC panels that can have personnel downloaded to them at the same time.

The value must be between 1 and 50.

Numeric

10

Journal Occurrence Difference Range

For a journal message, if the apC driver-received time and the activity-occurred time differ less than the entered value (in seconds), only apC driver-received time displays in the Monitoring Station and journal view.

The value must be between 0 and 60.

Numeric

0

Force Full Personnel Download at Driver Start

Forces full download of credentials to all panels at next driver startup.

If True, the credentials are downloaded to the panel.

If False, the credentials are not downloaded to the panel.

Boolean

False
