System variables for Import and Export

Import and Export system variables lists system variables used to define various settings used to configure Import and Export.

Table 1. Import and Export system variables
System Variable Name Description Value Type Default Value

Default Import Directory Path

The default import directory on the server computer for the automated imports.

Note: If you are using the Import Watcher service, you must stop and restart the Import Watcher driver for any changes you make to the Default Import Directory Path variable to take effect.

File path

C:\Program Files (x86)\Tyco\CrossFire\Import

Default Export Directory Path

The default export directory on the server computer for the automated exports.

Note: When you are running an export on the client computer, the system does not use this default export directory that is on the server. It opens a directory on the client, reverting to the last directory used. To avoid confusion or to use the same destination folder for both client and server computers, you can use UNC (Universal Naming Convention) paths, for example: \\Computer Name\Program Files\Software House\ SWHouse\SWHSystem\Export.

File path

C:\Program Files (x86)\Tyco\CrossFire\Export

Specify an optional directory where to store the import result error log files instead of in the default location: C:\Program Files\Tyco\CrossFire\ImportLogs.
