Searching for a device

  1. Open a layout that contains a video monitoring module.
  2. To access the device search settings, in the upper-left corner of the video monitoring module, click the Device Finder icon.
  3. In the Device Finder pane, complete the following steps:
    1. Optional: In the Search bar, type in a device name.
    2. Optional: From the Device Type list, select a device type.
      Note: If you do not select a device name or type, the search returns the top 50 results for all devices, video views, and video tours. If you select a device type, but do not search for a device name, the search returns the top 50 results for all devices.
    3. Click the Search button.
  4. To monitor a device, drag the device from the search results to the Video Monitoring panes.
    Tip: To view previews for camera types, turn on the Detailed View toggle switch.
